East Surrey Operatic Society and the Opera Club of Reigate and Redhill joined together in 2009 to stage "Scrooge the Musical" at the Harlequin Theatre, Redhill from 24th to 28th November 2009. The Musical Director was Angela Barker and we welcomed John Taylor as Director.

Rehearsals began in May 2009 with Children's Workshops and Auditions in June 2009.

Earlier in the year, we staged a joint concert, "Musical Twist" for two nights at the Harlequin Theatre, Redhill from 27th to 28th March 2009. It featured members from both societies performing excerpts from past (and future) shows and was directed by Paul Longhurst with Angela Barker as Musical Director and Vanessa Chambers as Choreographer.
